In the years after taking his own life in the uprising, rumors swirled Ala Mhigo of the source of the king’s madness.  His greatest obsession was a fabled artifact known as the Mirror of Illusions, a relic said to reveal hidden truths—or ensnare those who gazed into it. Some say that the mirror claimed his soul and his sanity leaving only madness and paranoia. Few believe the tale, dismissing it as myth, but recent discoveries suggest otherwise.
